Auditorium And Halls

Open – Air Auditorium: Nizam College has a unique distinction of having the biggest grounds which are used for all grand events from the College Day events to other conferences etc.
Auditorium : A State-of-the-art auditorium with good seating capacity that acts as a common ground for students, faculty, and corporate personalities for regular interfaces, conferences and other events. The conferences and lectures not only provide the students with a firsthand information about the working of various fields but also gives them an opportunity to get their doubts cleared by asking more and more questions. The auditorium, with a seating capacity of 200 and centrally air-conditioning, is another jewel in the campus.
Salarjung Hall (SJ Hall): Another auditorium with a seating capacity of 200, in the Heritage block is also used for many events. The historical legacy of the SJ Hall is can be trace to the interesting fact that it was used by Fakr- ul –Mulk as a dining Hall and was supervised by the Zenana from an elevated balcony.
Committee Rooms: While the Committee Hall in the Heritage Block takes us down the memory lane, the new Committee room another state of the art addition to the College.
Seminar Halls: Most departments have their own seminar halls for the regular usage of its faculty and students.

ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK

This is a heritage block built during the Nizam era unique to the College because of it’s antique structure and architecture. This block houses the office of the Principal, Vice Principal and Examination branch. The block also has a Hall named as “Salar Jung Hall”. The Salar Jung family was a noble Hyderabad family under the Nizams, who ruled Hyderabad from 1720 to 1948.

CENTENERY BLOCK

Built to commemorate the occasion of Centenary year of Nizam College (1987). TThe block houses some Science, Social Science and Arts Departments. It has an auditorium

SOCIAL SCIENCES BLOCK

Major Social Science departments like the Political Science, the Public Administration and Economics are located in this block. The College Library is also accommodated in this block.

BOTANY & ZOOLOGY

The block consists of Botany and Zoology department, it caters to the needs of both UG and PG students of Botany, Zoology and Biotechnology.

PHYSICAL SCIENCES BLOCK

Yet another historical structure built in the nizam era. The block consists of two major science departments Chemistry and Physics.

MBA & MCA BLOCK

The profession block that is exclusive for MCA and MBA course was build in the year 2004. The block also has a well equipped Boxing in its ground floor.

CHEMISTRY FYIC BLOCK

Build in the year 2011. The block was constructed for catering the needs of 5 year integrated course in chemistry and MSc. Chemistry (Pharmaoinformatics). The block has a Central instrumentation Lab with latest analytical and research facilities

CHEMISTRY EXTENSION BLOCK

The block houses Microbiology department and Undergraduate Chemistry lab, MCA computer Lab and Class room for Undergraduate courses.

COMMERCE BLOCK

The Department of Commerce, is one of the oldest and largest departments in the country, has been serving for the last 81 years. Commerce Department was started at Nizam College in the year 1940. Since then, B.Com Degree course has been offered in the department. In the year 1970, M.Com with costing and Taxation specialization, was introduced at Nizam College, upgrading Commerce Department into a Post Graduate Department.

MULTI PURPOSE BLOCK

Multi Purpose Block was established in 2015.It has been serving for last 9years. It is used as Sports Complex, for Classes, Examination Branch and some other activities.

AMENTIES
