The NCC was created as University Corps under the Indian Defense Act, 1917 with the objective to train students for the Army. In 1920, when the Indian Territorial Act was passed, the “University Corps” was replaced by the “University Training Corps” (UTC). In 1942, the UTC was renamed as the “University Officers Training Corps” (UOTC). In September 1946, under the chairmanship of Kunzru, a committee was set up for establishment of a nation-wide youth organization. To widen the scope of NCC Training, the Army NCC unit in Girls Division was introduced in 1949. Air force and Naval NCC Units followed soon in 1950 and 1952 respectively. This voluntary youth organization, which started with 20,000 cadets, is today probably the largest uniformed youth organization in the world with 13 lakh cadets (boys and girls). The NCC Head quarter is in New Delhi headed by a Director General with the rank of Lieutenant General. He is assisted by two Additional Director Generals (A and B) of two-star rank (Major-General, Rear-Admiral or Air Vice-Marshal). Control and co-ordination are exercised through 17 State Directorates with each headed by an Additional Director General or Deputy Director General of the rank of Major General or Brigadier or equivalent ranks of the Navy and Air Force. At present, there are 96 NCC Group HQs and 800 units located throughout the country providing NCC coverage to 633 districts. NCC is a tri - service organization and consists of Army, Navy and Airforce which trains lakh of students under its fold. Students who have undergone NCC training have self-discipline, leadership qualities and good value systems.

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment. It is supported by many non-governmental organizations, businesses, government entities, and represents the primary United Nations outreach day supporting the environment.

YOGA DAY- 21 JUNE
In the run-up to the International Day of Yoga, NCC conducted practice sessions for cadets. These sessions were aimed at educating the cadets about the essence of yogic exercises on individual health along with a message of unity and mindfulness towards society.
With this event, NCC has once again taken the mantle of spreading the message of yoga fitness and health in the country by ensuring that the message of good health and fitness is ingrained in the mind and hearts of the youth of the country.
(NCC) Cadets celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day on June 21, 2023 with full zeal and enthusiasm with the participation of 11 lakh NCC Cadets at different venues across India. In This event ‘’66 CADETS HAVE PARTCIPATED IN THIS EVENT’’ ,where guest of honour NCC Hyderabad group commander colonel anil Kumar sir, decathlon team,and yoga instructor.
On 26th July, ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ was marked by the NCC Cadets with full patriotic fervour. They were involved in assembly featuring a Musical tribute, followed by the powerful recitation of a patriotic poem,gathering their affections through letters,and
drawings,where‘’67‘’CADETS HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT ,where cadets have meet the 61 MED Regiment soldiers,CO of 3 t battalion,[Lieutenant colonel T.Sarat sir],AO [Adam officer Lieutenant colonel Manjul sharma sir].
On February 14, 2024, The fifth death anniversary of the Indian Army soldiers martyred in the Pulwama attack on 14 February, 2019 was observed as “Black Day” by the cadets where‘’146’’ CADETS HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT,where guest of honour represents nizam college principal,vice principal,care taker officer and other faculty members.
