Department Of Urdu
The Department of Urdu is the oldest department in Nizam College established in 1887. Urdu is offered as a second language at UG level and also as one of the optionals (Modern Language) to the students of B.A. degree course. Besides a full timer, part time teachers are also involved in handling the classes. Extension lectures and literary activities are regular feature of the department. Urdu festival is organized every year. In this regard various competitions are conducted in Urdu language.

 Dr.Syed Israr Ahmed,M.A, M.Phil, Ph.D & NETAssistant Professor(PT) "Dr. Syed Israr Ahmed has been working as a part time lecturer in Dept of Urdu since the year 1999. He completed M.A Urud from Osmania University, M.Phil from Osmania University on the topic "Khaja Shouq Shaks aur Sahaer" and Ph.D from University of Hyderabad on the topic "Ma Qabl Azadi-e-Hind Urdu may Natiya Shaeri". He has passed NET/APCSC in the year 1996. His area of study in M.A Urdu was history of Urdu literature and Sheriyaat. He got two gold medals in M.A. " |
 Md Ismail Khan,M.A M.Ed & UPTAssistant Professor(PT) " Mr. Md Ismail Khan has been working as a part time lecturer in Dept of Urdu since the year 2008. He completed M.A Urud from Osmania University, M. Ed. from Vikrama Simhapuri University in the year 2015 and UPT from Osmania University. |
